Toronto, Canada and Boston MA, USA – October 17, 2019 – Veson Nautical, the leading provider of commercial maritime software and services, and Norvic Shipping, a global operator of dry bulk vessels, today announced the completion of Norvic’s migration from Veson’s IMOSlive system to the cloud-based Veson IMOS Platform (VIP). Norvic Shipping made the switch to VIP in order to increase operational efficiency and reach by providing employees with 24/7 universal access to business systems and introducing dynamic cloud-based updates and features on a continuous basis.

“A critical element behind the expansion of our partnership with Veson, is that we see Veson continuing to invest in the development of the product and in maintaining a high service and support standard,” explains Majbritt Jacobsen, Head of Business Process & Applications at Norvic. “The ability to drill down in our data and present the findings in an intuitive format is becoming increasingly important in driving our P&L focus. The Veson IMOS Platform provides this ability.”

Norvic Shipping’s migration to the Veson IMOS Platform is not only a reflection of the company’s commitment to continuous innovation, but also a testament to the impressive growth that the company has experienced over the past several years. Since Norvic first implemented IMOS in 2014, the company has grown from managing 77 annual voyages to managing over 650 voyages a year. Now, with a cloud-based solution, Norvic plans to build upon this foundation with digital tools that streamline workflows.

“Since we are a medium-sized company making the switch to the Platform, we can be more agile and efficient in voyage management. This will provide us with a competitive edge,” states Jacobsen.
“It is very exciting to see Norvic Shipping adopt the Veson IMOS Platform as they continue to invest in digital strategies designed to support the company’s rapid growth,” says Ignacio Labarthe, Regional Account Manager at Veson Nautical. “I look forward to continued engagement with our partners at Norvic Shipping as we partner to bring innovative solutions to the forefront of the shipping industry.”
Going forward, Norvic is planning to incorporate more Veson solutions into daily operations, beginning with implementation of Veson’s Trading & Risk Module to aid in building out their risk department.
Veson Nautical and Norvic Shipping both look forward to sustaining continued growth through partnership, technology, and innovation.
