News Oceanbolt

It is no secret that we are strong advocates for the power of AIS data for real-time analysis of shipping operations and commodities trading. Therefore, we have followed the work of the Task Team on AIS data from the United Nations Global Working Group on Big Data for Official Statistics closely.

We celebrate and are excited about UN’s increased focus on AIS as a data source to supplement, standardize and validate official trade statistics. As subject-matter experts on AIS data and its commercial applications, we are continuously looking to aid authorities, corporations and research institutions either through partnerships or commercial agreements. It is therefore with great excitement that we have become part of the UN AIS Task Team to contribute towards more transparency in dry bulk trading.
